Nominations are now being accepted for the ATHENA Award, which will be presented on May 6, 2009, at Manistee Golf & Country Club to an exceptional individual who has achieved excellence in her/his business or profession, has served Athena awardthe community in a meaningful way and has assisted women in their attainment of professional goals and leadership skills.
 
The ATHENA AwardŽ Program is nationally underwritten by General Motors and National City Bank.

 St. Patrick's Day Parade
March 17, 4:30pm staging at Division and First Streets in the parking lot of Huntington Bank.  Parade will start at 5pm and proceed down Division Street to Lake Street. Prizes awarded for the Best Float and Best theme dress.  Entry blanks can be obtained from any of the sponsors (Huntington Bank, Wahr Hardware, Manistee Tire, Fastenal, Pamela's Interiors, the Mane Salon, Blarney Castle Oil Co., Manistee Ford, and the Eagles Club.) Turn your entries into the Eagles Club by March 14.
 
Enter the Guess the Weight of the Blarney StoneBlarney Stone contest!  Enter the contest as often as you like - just stop into the Eagles Club after 3pm daily.  The entrant guessing the closest to the weight of the Blarney Stone (boulder donated by Jeff Seng) will receive a prize of $75.  All proceeds will go to the Eagles Raise the Roof Fund, to replace the 42 year old roof. 

Green BeerA reception will be held at the Eagles Club.  Food and beverages, including green beer!
